Humpty Dumptyisme (Engels: Humpty Dumptyism) is een term voor iemand die een nieuwe, afwijkende betekenis geeft aan een bestaand woord. De term is afkomstig uit Lewis Carrolls boek Alice in Wonderland. Daarin ontmoet hoofdpersoon Alice het eivormige personage Humpty Dumpty. De naam Humpty Dumpty is in de Nederlandse uitgave vertaald als Hompie Dompie.
